Reservation & Cancellation Policies
Our rates vary by season and by room. We do not take reservations for the budget rooms. If you are interested in a budget room, the best idea is to come by the hotel when you arrive in San Marcos and see what we have available. We take reservations for Mirador, Sonrisa, Pescado, Cascada, Granadilla and Alain. Please visit Rooms for descriptions.
For a reservation over the weekend (Friday and/or Saturday nights) there is a minimum stay of 2 nights. During peak seasons (Easter and Christmas weeks) there is a minimum night stay.
We accept reservations through Paypal or through direct deposit to our Guatemalan bank account (Banco Industrial). We do not accept credit cards except through paypal. For a reservation we require a payment in full 1 week prior to your arrival at the hotel.
If you are already in Guatemala, it may be easier to deposit the money into our Banco Industrial bank account. The account is in the name of Niels Gronau and the number is 023-4787669.
If you want to pay via Paypal, you can go to the website www.paypal.com, set up a free account there and send the money to our account "nielsgronau@gmail.com". You must send the money from your bank account or Paypal account. Again, we do not accept credit cards directly. The Paypal process of setting up an account that can move funds from your bank account or credit card usually takes several days.
Our cancellation policy is as follows: cancellation 1 week or more before your arrival at the hotel – full refund; cancellation less than one week prior to your arrival at the hotel – no refund.
