Getting to Aaculaax
By Shuttle:
From both the airport in Guatemala City and hotels around Antigua, there is
a shuttle service that brings you to the edge of Lake Atitlán to the town of
Panajachel. From Panajachel there are hourly motorboats that will bring you
to San Marcos La Laguna after a beautiful 45-minute ride. Once at the dock
in San Marcos, all you have to do is follow the signs to Aaculaax, which is
about a 10-minute walk.
Private shuttles from various locations around Guatemala can be organized bringing you directly to San Marcos.
By Private Car:
From Guatemala City head West on the Pan-American Highway (CA 1) towards
Quetzaltenango; at Kilometer 148 take the road down towards Lake Atitlán to
the town of Santa Clara, continue past San Pablo and then follow the signs
to San Marcos. Enjoy the view.
